Home-School-Community Agency Partnership

A child's development is influenced by those always aroiund them. Parents, teachers and friends are the important model which the chidlren can make a happy life everyday. So, among of them can make a collaboration to makesure the children in good situation. Parents contribute to children's learning by having high expectations, providing a setting that allows concentrated work. Children needs attention from their family especially parents. Posibly, the children can  show the good reputation in school if their parents always support them.

Parents have become stronger advocates for the rights of their children, and legal mandates exist for parent involvement in the educational programs of their children. In early education and intervention programs, there has been a movement away from the child as the sole focus of intervention to the family as the unit of intervention. Educators and parents alike now recognize that early intervention, especially intervention with the families of children who have disabilities, is crucial and effective. As known as, early intervention applies to children of school age or younger who are discovered to have or be at risk of developing a handicapping condition or other special need that may affect their development.

It is very popular these days to talk about parent involvement. There is a list which kind of parent involvement :
  • Parenting - in which schools help all families establish home environments to support children as students.
  • Communicating - in which parents and schools work to develop effective two-way communication between home and school focused on school programs and student progress.
  • Volunteering - in which school recruit and organize parent help and support
  • Learning at home - in which school personnel provide information and ideas to families about how to help students at home with home work and other activities
  • Decision making - in which parents are included in school decisions, serve as leaders and representatives on school committees, task force.
  • Collaborating with community - which families and school personnel work together to identify and intergrate resources and services from the community to strengthen school programs and family practices.
In other situation, some parents decide to ignore their children and never know anything about their children especially on their study. This bad situation make trouble from the teacher in case if anything happened. This is also being trouble with their children because its make them have no spirit and never make an effort to succeed in academic. So, as a parents they must take full caring for their children because parents the only one closer friend compare to teacher.
